Lead Website Viewer Down The Path To Make Contact
One of the most difficult tasks I have had is educating a Company on the value of quality Web Design and the benefits they will receive financially. When I give an assessment of a Companies present website that they paid little for and gained little to no value from, their experience is that the website does not do much for them. What they do not realize is that there is a tremendous amount of tedious work involved in creating a search engine optimized website. The content needs to be very informative without being boring to the reader. The images all need to be optimized for fast loading, yet keep quality for viewing. Each image itself
requires SEO, which means proper titles, alt tags, descriptions, keywords and it all needs to make sense. Google is constantly changing the way they rank and view websites. Cosmetic appearance plays a big role in how a user views your company. Perception is reality in the eyes of a consumer. A website that does not properly display the image of your brand and services will be clicked off of in a matter of seconds. There are many more factors in being ranked for various top search phrases for a particular industry.
Grab the attention of the user with areas of content, video and images that say who you are and what your company is about. Remember, the user is not always educated in your area of business and they are on the Internet seeking that knowledge. Lead them down the path to make contact with you. Unless you are selling a product on a shopping cart, a possible client will need to make email contact or phone contact. Forms are also a great way to allow a user to obtain a basic quote for your service. People in general are very non-committal and test the waters through email, chat or quote forms. My best source for contact has been quoting through a form.
